Around Thanksgiving, the Nick office holds a charity auction of employee-made artworks and crafts. Part of the auction are these artist-Ns, which start out as plain wooden versions of the “n” in the Nickelodeon logo. Everyone who takes one has to decorate it as cool as they can, kind of like Funko dolls? Or that Cow Parade from like 10 years ago? This year I grabbed one, and after a day of very anxious brainstorming and indecision, I decided to make Stoop Kid’s stoop from Hey Arnold. This was the first time I’ve used Sculpey. Normally I would have done this in paper, but who wants to try and carry home the very fragile paper thing they just bought at an auction? Sculpey and I definitely need a little more time to get used to each other, but I’m pretty proud of how it turned out!
