For the last few years I've completely caved to the Instagram peer pressure and end up doing at least something for 36 Days of Type. In 2019, I found myself with a train commute that was generally not super-packed, so I could pretty much bank on getting a seat every day. I decided to use my two hours of commute time to animate an alphabet, using a block type I designed super quick at the start of the month. I roughed and colored the animations on my iPad while riding the train, until somewhere around day 23 when I MOVED and my new train was much more crowded, so I finished out the alphabet but decided to skip the numbers, because standing and animating on a moving train does not bring me joy.
